The English choir conductor Charlotte Rowan took over the position as conductor of the Danish Girls' Choir in August 2023 and is the eighth conductor in the choir's history. She grew up as a chorister at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, where she later became an Organ Scholar, at the same time as she studied singing and conducting at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

At the age of 19, Charlotte Rowan began studying music at University of Cambridge, where she continued her education as a singer and conductor of The Chapel Choir of Sidney Sussex College. Since 2018, Charlotte Rowan has lived in Denmark, where she has partly continued her education himself as choir conductor at the Jutland Music Conservatory, partly as conductor of Herning Church's Boys' Choir for three years before she became conductor of the DR Girls' Choir.
